The 40 Most Stunningly Beautiful Actresses Before 1960

26. Veronica Lake
Veronica Lake, born Constance Frances Marie Ockelman on November 14, 1922, was famous for her iconic femme fatale roles in Hollywood. However, her career quickly began to decline due to a growing drinking problem.
She made several attempts to revive her acting career but was ultimately unsuccessful.
Lake published her memoir, Veronica: The Autobiography of Veronica Lake, in 1970. Unfortunately, years of heavy drinking took a severe toll on her health, and she passed away at the age of 50 in July 1973, due to hepatitis and acute kidney failure.
