Simple Kitchen Storage Upgrades - How We Made Our Cabinets Work Smarter

Our Utensil, Pot, and Pan Storage Cabinet

Right next to the sink is our go-to spot for flatware, pots, pans, and baking dishes (like our brownie and cinnamon roll pans), all conveniently near the stove.

To make room on the opposite side of the stove for a more efficient cabinet than what we had before, we adjusted this cabinet to be just slightly smaller – only about an inch or two. Thanks to Ikea’s smartly designed drawers, which don’t waste space with thick wood frames, this cabinet actually lets us store more than before. The top drawer holds our utensils, neatly organized with an Ikea bamboo tray that fits perfectly, keeping everything in place without wasted space.

It might seem funny, but we really do have a drawer with only one pan in it – our most-used one. It’s handy to keep it easily accessible, and if we ever need that drawer for something else, we could either fit it in or just keep the pan on the stove. We went with this pan after hearing so much buzz about it. If you’re curious, we love it! It’s non-toxic, easy to clean, and we enjoy the color. It’s the first choice for dinner almost every night, but judging by the hype, you might already have one, too!
