Paws Off! The Dangerous Foods You Must Avoid for Your Pets
13. Raw Eggs: Cats and Dogs

Eggs are an excellent source of protein and fats for both cats and dogs. However, they should be offered as an occasional treat and not as a substitute for regular meals. Just as humans should avoid raw eggs, so should pets.
Raw eggs can harbor Salmonella, and they contain avidin, which inhibits the absorption of biotin, a vital B vitamin, potentially causing skin and coat issues. If you plan to feed your pets eggs, opt for boiled, scrambled, or sunny-side-up preparations instead.
