A Touch of Purple

To bring a splash of vibrant color to our serene outdoor retreat, we planted two large lilac bushes. Their tall, twiggy branches are already showing the first signs of life, with tiny buds hinting at the fragrant purple blooms to come. These lilacs add a playful contrast to the evergreen trees, creating a dynamic and inviting space that evolves beautifully with the seasons.

This entire makeover was surprisingly simple and rewarding. From building the pergola to planting greens and styling the area, it all came together in just a weekend. Now, we’re ready to enjoy countless evenings here with friends, surrounded by lush greenery, the soft glow of string lights, and the delicate scent of lilacs in the air.
