8 Easy Steps to Build a Tiny A-Frame Cabin
Step 2: Cut and Construct the A-Frame Trusses

You’ll need two A-shaped trusses made from 2x6x12 lumber. Start by cutting the ends at the right angles. This will help shape the top and bottom ends perfectly.
Next, connect the tops of the trusses using a scrap piece of 1/2-inch plywood or another sturdy material. Secure the plywood gusset to the trusses with 2-inch wood screws and some construction adhesive.
Then, attach a 2x4x8 floor brace plate to the trusses. This brace keeps everything together and acts as the base for your floor. Use 3-inch wood screws and more construction adhesive to secure the floor face plate to the trusses. Just follow these steps, and you'll have two solid A-Frame trusses ready to go!
