8 Easy Steps to Build a Tiny A-Frame Cabin
Step 1: Prepare Your Location

To start building your A-Frame cabin, you need a solid spot. Make sure the legs sit on a sturdy surface to avoid settling in soft soil. I recommend using 1x1 foot cement pavers, which you can find at most garden supply stores. Clear the area of any debris and use a bubble level to make sure the pavers are nice and even.
If the soil is really loose or swampy, adding a layer of gravel under the pavers or finding a better location might be necessary. If you live in a windy area, using hurricane tie-downs is a smart idea—just follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
You can build this cabin with common hand tools or power tools, so make sure you have a saw, hammer, square, and level. And don’t forget to follow safety guidelines and wear eye protection!
